Viewing and Managing a Job Card
How to access, view, and manage the details of a specific job from the main 'Jobs' dashboard. The Job Card is the central hub for all information related to a task, including customer details, scheduling, required work, assigned team members, and job history.
Accessing the Detailed Job Card
Follow these steps to open the detailed view for any job listed on the Jobs screen.
- Navigate to the Jobs Tab: From the main menu on the left side of the screen, ensure you have the Jobs tab selected. This will display a list of all current jobs.
- Locate the Correct Job: Find the job you wish to view in the list. The list is organized into columns such as 'Job Name', 'Customer Name', 'Schedule Time', and 'Team'.
- Open the Actions Menu: On the far right-hand side of the row for your chosen job, click on the three vertical dots (⋮). This will open the 'Actions' dropdown menu.
- Select 'View': From the dropdown menu, click on View. This will open the full Job Card for that specific job.

Understanding the Job Card Layout
The Job Card is divided into three main sections: the left pane containing core job and customer details, the center pane for scheduling and status, and the right pane for history and additional actions.
Main Job Details (Left Pane)
This section provides the fundamental information about the job.
- Job Title and ID: At the very top, you will see the name of the job and its unique identifier (e.g., "New PVC Pipe Laying #2").
- Customer Information:
- Customer Name: The name of the client (e.g., "New Customer Sophie Team").
- Address: The physical address where the job will take place (e.g., "8 Church St, Fortitude Valley QLD 4006, Australia").
- Email: The customer's contact email.
- Phone number: The customer's contact phone number.
- Job Summary: This is a detailed description of the work to be done. It can be broken down into specific instructions:
- Equipment Required: Lists any tools or materials needed (e.g., "Pipe cutting tool, instructional materials for the apprentice").
- Safety Measures: Details any required safety protocols (e.g., "Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is worn...").
- Special Instructions: Provides step-by-step guidance for the task (e.g., "Demonstrate step-by-step usage of the pipe cutting tool to the apprentice...").
- Team: This section shows which team member(s) are assigned to the job, along with their contact number (e.g., "Sophie Onboarding +61451607251"). You can also click Add team member here.
- Location: An embedded map displays a pin at the job's address for easy navigation and visual confirmation.
Schedule and Status (Center Pane)
This area allows you to manage the job's timing and current state.
- Status: A dropdown menu that shows the current status of the job (e.g., "Pending"). You can click on this to update it. The available statuses are:
- Pending
- Confirmed
- In Progress
- Completed
- Canceled
- Date and Time: Displays the scheduled date and time window for the job (e.g., "1 October 2025, 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM").
- Action Buttons:
- View in Calendar: Click this to see the job within the context of your full schedule.
- Reschedule Job: Click this to change the date or time of the job.

Job History and Add-ons (Right Pane)
This section is for tracking progress and adding supplementary information.
- Reminders:
- This area shows if any reminders have been set.
- Click Add Reminder to open a "Set a Reminder" pop-up window.
- In the pop-up, you can configure:
- Remind Me: Choose a preset time (Tomorrow, Next week, In 2 hours) or a Custom date and time.
- Priority: Select a priority level.
- Notes: Select the notification method (Call, Text, Email).
- Description Box: Type what you want to be reminded about.

- Notes:
- View any existing notes related to the job.
- Click Add Note to add new text-based information, observations, or updates.
- Photos:
- View any photos that have been uploaded for the job. These can be used for instructions, showing before-and-after states, or documenting issues.
- The example shows a photo with the instruction "Use this as the instructions."
- Click Add Photo to upload new images.
This detailed view ensures that any team member can access all the necessary information for a job in one convenient location, allowing for better preparation, execution, and tracking.
