My account shows the wrong country or currency — how do I fix it?
You can fix this yourself. Go to Settings → Business → Business profile and change the Country field in the Business details card — your currency follows your country, so it updates at the same time. New accounts start set to Australia, so if your business is somewhere else you may need to change this once.
Steps
- Go to Settings → Business → Business profile.
- In the Business details card, change the Country field. There's no Save button — the page saves by itself, and your currency updates with it.
- Note there's no separate currency picker anywhere in the dashboard — currency always follows the country, so it can't be set on its own.
- Still not sorted — for example, an existing subscription already billing in the wrong currency? Email support@sophiie.ai or call +61 7 5620 4640 with your organisation name, the country your business is in, and the currency you expect to see. We'll get back to you with an update within 24–48 hours.
Common Questions
Does Sophiie work outside Australia?
Yes — Sophiie has customers outside Australia, including in the UK and New Zealand. To see your own prices, set your country correctly and look at the plan cards at Settings → Workspace → Billing — they're shown in your country's currency — we support Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars, US dollars, British pounds, euros, Canadian dollars and UAE dirhams, and if your country isn't one we map, your account keeps the currency it already had. Depending on your market you may see fewer plan bullets than the Australian site shows — the SMS allowance line is hidden in some countries. We publish pricing for Australia, the United Kingdom, the United States and New Zealand. If your business is somewhere else, email support@sophiie.ai and we'll sort your pricing out with you.
Will fixing my country or currency change what I'm charged?
It depends. Changing your country changes the currency and prices you're quoted on a new checkout, and the prices shown on the plan cards. It does not change a subscription you already have — plan changes on a live subscription stay priced in the currency the subscription was created in. So if you're already paying in AUD and correct your country to New Zealand, you keep being billed in AUD.
Where does the currency actually show up?
Anywhere your account handles money, plus a few places you might not expect: money formatting across the dashboard and on quotes and invoices (the PDFs and public pages included); the tax label and default rate (GST in Australia and New Zealand, VAT in the UK); the business-number label (ABN, VAT number or EIN); how your business phone number is formatted; the travel radius unit (kilometres or miles); plan prices and the currency of a new checkout; a currency-match check when connecting Xero or QuickBooks; and what Sophiie is told about your business on calls. Your country also sets the timezone once, at sign-up — after that the timezone is set separately on the Hours page.
