How do I view and manage a job?

Click any job row on Jobs → All jobs — the job opens in a drawer on the right with everything about it across five tabs. Changes save automatically as you make them.

Steps

  1. Open the job by clicking anywhere on its row in All jobs, or by clicking its block on the Schedule tab. (The row's three-dot menu also has a View job option — same result, longer way round.)
  2. Check the top of the drawer: a map thumbnail, the job number (shown as JOB followed by a number, e.g. JOB-2), the status pill, and the job's title, time, customer and address.
  3. Use the Overview tab for the core details — Title, Customer, Status, Service, Time, Address, Assigned (pick a team member with the assignee picker) and a free-text Job summary you click to edit. Everything auto-saves; there's no Save button.
  4. Set the status from the picker on Overview. You can choose Pending, Confirmed, In progress, Complete or Cancelled. You may also see Awaiting confirmation on a job — Sophiie sets that one herself after she asks the customer to confirm, so it isn't in the picker. You can set the status whenever you like; the picker isn't locked, and the job doesn't need a time first.
  5. Use the Details tab for extras: Notes, Reminders, Photos and Files. Each section's button is labelled Add. Photos take up to 10 files at 8 MB each in one go; Files take up to 5 files at 4 MB each in one go. Repeat the upload to add more.
  6. Set a reminder from Details if you need a nudge: pick Remind me (Tomorrow / Next week / In 2 hours / Custom), a priority (Low / Medium / High) and how it reaches you — Call, Text or Email. Call and Text need a phone number on your account and Email needs an email address — with neither, no reminder can be sent. Only a future reminder you created yourself can be edited or deleted.
  7. Check the other tabs as needed: Contacts, Billing and History. Billing appears when your organisation has Quotes switched on and you have access to Quotes, or has Invoices switched on and you have access to Invoices.
  8. Act from the drawer footer: one primary button that follows the job's status — Find a time for a Pending or Confirmed job with no time yet, Confirm for Pending, Start job for Confirmed, Mark complete for In progress, New invoice (or View invoice once one exists) for Complete, and Reopen job for Cancelled. The invoice button only appears if your organisation has Invoices switched on and you have access to them. Assign sits in the three-dot menu beside it. The three-dot menu beside it always holds Duplicate and Cancel job; the other actions — Assign, View in calendar, Reschedule, Message, Send quote, New invoice and Add time / note — appear or hide depending on the job's status.

Common Questions

Do I need to schedule the job before setting its status?

No — you can set the status whenever you like. The picker isn't locked, and the job doesn't need a time first.

Where did the Equipment, Safety and Special Instructions sections go?

They were never separate fields — that was example content from an old AI-generated summary. The job now has a single free-text Job summary on the Overview tab that you click to edit.

How do I cancel or delete a job?

Choose Cancel job from the footer's three-dot menu — it sets the status to Cancelled, and the footer button becomes Reopen job if you change your mind. There's no way to hard-delete a job.

Where are the View in Calendar and Reschedule buttons?

They've moved into the drawer footer's three-dot menu. Which actions the menu shows depends on the job's status — only Duplicate and Cancel job are always there. The footer's single button changes with the job's status instead.
