How do I use the Schedule tab in Sophiie?
Your calendar lives at Jobs → Schedule — the middle tab on the Jobs page (Today · Schedule · All jobs). It shows every scheduled job as a colour-coded block you can click to open.
Steps
- Click Jobs in the left menu, then the Schedule tab. (Old bookmarks to Schedule, Appointments or Calendar all redirect to the Jobs page.)
- Pick your view with the Day · Week · Month switch in the toolbar.
- Move through time with the ‹ and › arrows either side of Today. The date title shows the range you're looking at.
- Click any job block to open the full job drawer with everything about that job.
The toolbar holds just four things: the ‹ Today › navigation, the date title, the crew avatars, and the Day / Week / Month switch. There's no search here — to search jobs, use the All jobs tab.
Reading the job blocks
Each block prints its own details — there's no hover pop-up. You'll see the job title, the time range and customer name, and, when the block is tall enough, the short address and job number. Click through to the job drawer for the rest.
Block colours follow your crew colours, not job status: a block takes the colour of its primary assignee. Status changes how that colour is drawn — fill, stripe, border, spine or ink — rather than swapping it for another colour. A complete job is muted with a tick, an unassigned job is styled differently again, and a job with two assignees splits its spine into both crew colours. So there's no red-means-cancelled legend to hunt for — the colour tells you who, the treatment tells you the status.
Filtering by team member
The circular crew avatars in the toolbar are a multi-select filter:
- Click an avatar to show just that person's jobs.
- Click another avatar to add that person to the filter — each click toggles someone in or out, it doesn't switch views.
- Up to five avatars sit inline, with yours always first. The rest of the team live behind the +N button, which opens a popover with checkboxes and a Select all.
- When any filter is active, a Show all button appears — click it to clear the filter and see everyone again.
Scheduling jobs from the backlog
Jobs that don't have a time yet sit in an Unscheduled list beside the Day and Week views on a computer — it's not shown in Month view or on a phone. Drag a job from the list onto the grid to schedule it — it takes the slot you drop it on. (You can also schedule from the All jobs tab with the row's Find a time action.)
Moving a job — and telling the customer
Drag a booked job's block to a new day or time and it's rescheduled straight away. Sophiie doesn't tell the customer about the change, so send them a message yourself if they need to know. Dragging a job out of the Unscheduled list is different: there Sophiie asks whether to notify the customer before she messages anyone.
Blocks that aren't jobs
Not every block on the Schedule is a Sophiie job. Two other kinds appear:
- External calendar events — events from a connected Google or Outlook calendar show as read-only blocks with a Google or Outlook glyph. Sophiie won't book over them. Click one to see its details in a small read-only card — you can't change it here, so edit it in Google or Outlook.
- Team unavailability — a team member's time off and unavailability (set on their Availability tab at Settings → Business → Team) shows as a block too, and blocks bookings for that person the same way.
Common Questions
How do I get back to today?
Click Today. It re-anchors the calendar on your business's timezone. From Month view it also drops you into Week view, because a month has no single day to land on.
Why doesn't hovering over a job show its details?
There's no hover pop-up any more — the block itself shows the key details, and one click opens the full job drawer.
Can I create a job from the Schedule?
Yes — drag out a slot on the Day or Week grid. Sophiie asks you to pick a service, then opens the New job drawer pre-filled with that time. You can also use the New job button in the Jobs page header.
Why is a finished job still showing in its normal colour?
That's how it works — a complete job keeps its assignee's crew colour but is muted with a tick. Look at the treatment, not the colour, to read status.
