How do I use the Contacts page?
Your customers live in Contacts — click it in the left sidebar (the rail expands when you hover over it). If you knew this area as the Customers tab: same place, renamed Contacts.
The list holds every contact and company you have — people who've contacted Sophiie, plus anyone you've added manually or imported, whether or not they've ever been in touch.
The list
Three tabs across the top — All, Individual and Company — each with its own count. The columns are Contact (or Company), Email, Telephone, Tags (the Company tab shows Contacts instead), and Last interaction.
- Click a row to open the record — it slides over the list as a drawer, and Back closes one drawer level at a time.
- Search with the search field. To sort, use the Sort button beside it — Last interaction newest or oldest, or Name A to Z or Z to A. Clicking the Contact or Last interaction column headings sorts the same way.
- Add contact and Import sit in the page header (on mobile, Import folds behind a menu).
- On a phone or small screen, the table becomes stacked cards.
Row actions
The three-dot menu on a row offers Edit details, Send message (only when the contact is reachable by SMS or email), Call (only when a phone number is held), and Delete. There's no separate "View" option — clicking the row does that.
Bulk actions
Tick the checkboxes to select rows — a selection bar appears with Send message (contacts only) and Delete across the whole selection. Selection is per page.
Companies
A company is its own record type. Link contacts to a company (via Add to company on the contact) and their jobs, quotes and invoices roll up to the company record, which also aggregates communications across the company's contacts. A contact's "business name" comes from this link — there's no business-name field on the contact itself.
Common Questions
How do I add a customer manually?
Click Add contact in the page header, enter their details and save.
How do I delete several contacts at once?
Tick their checkboxes and use Delete in the selection bar. Remember selection is per page.
Why is "Send message" missing on a row?
Send message only appears when the contact has a phone number or an email address on their record — if both are missing, the option is hidden. If the contact can be reached but your account can't send on that channel, the option still appears and the message window explains why.
Need More Help?
If you're stuck with anything on the Contacts page, ask Sophiie Assistant in your dashboard first — she can guide you or make the change for you. Still stuck? Email support@sophiie.ai or call +61 7 5620 4640. Deleting a contact removes them from your database and can't be undone from the dashboard — if you've deleted someone by mistake, contact support straight away.
