How do I get started with Sophiie?

When you first sign in at app.sophiie.ai, Sophiie walks you through a guided self-onboarding — and because your website was scanned at sign-up, she already knows the basics of your business. To take live calls, you then forward your business number to your Sophiie number.

Steps

  1. Sign in at app.sophiie.ai with the email you signed up with, and complete the guided onboarding on your first visit. You don't have to finish every step now — most have a Skip or I'll do this later button, so you can come back to them. The one question you can't skip is which channels Sophiie should answer, because it sets up the rest.
  2. Test her. Your Sophiie number is at Settings → Inquiries → Phone — copy it and give her a call. (If it says No number allocated yet, your number is still being set up.)
  3. Go live. Forward your business number to your Sophiie number — see "How do I go live with Sophiie?" for the step-by-step guide.
  4. Fine-tune what she knows in Settings. (Most old Train Sophiie links take you to the matching page in Settings; a few older pages have been retired, so those links land on the Settings home page instead.)

- Settings → Business for Business profile and Hours, plus Settings → Services and Settings → Products - Settings → Inquiries for FAQs, Scenarios, Greetings & closings and Voice & personality

What to review in each area

  • Business profile — your company name, contact details, website and country, plus your location and branding. Trading hours have their own page at Settings → Business → Hours.
  • Services — what your business offers. Each service carries a name, description and qualifying questions, plus pricing (fixed, hourly, range or quote-on-site) with a Sophiie can disclose price switch and an optional call-out fee, and an outcome action that decides what happens at the end of the call — taking a message is the default. See "How do I add services in Sophiie?".
  • Products — each product has a name, description and pricing (fixed, a range, or not applicable) with its own disclose-price switch, plus optional product FAQs. See "How do I add products in Sophiie?".
  • FAQs — a clear question and an accurate answer for each thing customers commonly ask. The more you add, the better Sophiie handles enquiries.
  • Scenarios — call types that aren't service bookings, like bill payments, job applications or cancellation requests. Each scenario describes the situation (its name and when it should trigger) and what Sophiie does (her response, question rules and trigger phrases), plus an outcome action. See "How do I set up scenarios in Sophiie?".

Have a quick look through each area — your website scan will have pre-filled a lot of it, so mostly you're checking the wording is right.

Help while you set up

Sophiie Assistant — on your dashboard's home screen — answers questions and can make changes for you: setting up services, scenarios, transfers and departments, updating FAQs and hours, and more. Just describe what you want.

New paying customers also hear from our onboarding team, who offer an optimisation session to work through your setup — see "How do I get onboarding and training for Sophiie?".

Common Questions

What's the difference between Services and Scenarios?

Services are the offerings your business provides (e.g. "Hot water repair", "Electrical inspection"). Scenarios are situational call types (e.g. "Complaint", "Payment question", "Job application"). Services describe what you do; scenarios describe how Sophiie should handle specific situations.

Do I need to set everything up myself?

The guided onboarding plus your website scan get you most of the way, and Sophiie Assistant can make changes for you — just ask it. Paying customers can also book an optimisation session with the onboarding team to work through the setup together.

How long does setup take?

Most businesses are up and running quickly. The main time investment is reviewing your services, FAQs and scenarios — the more accurate the detail, the better Sophiie performs on calls.

What does a free account include?

The free plan includes the scheduler, 25 AI actions a month and one team member. It doesn't include phone answering or SMS — Sophiie can't take calls on a free account, so you'll need a paid plan for that.
