How do I filter my inquiries?
In Inquiries (previously called the Inbox), click the Filters pill to the right of the Search inquiries field. Filters apply the moment you pick them — there's no Apply button — and the Filters pill shows a badge with how many are active.
The filter groups
- Channel — All, Call, SMS, Email, Chatbot, Web form. Voicemails aren't a separate choice: pick Call and you get calls and voicemails together. The SMS choice is always there so you can read past texts — if your Sophiie number can't send texts, a short line under the choices tells you why. Web form only appears once a web form exists.
- Customer — start typing a name and pick from the matches (it searches your contacts as you type).
- Inquiry tag — the tags Sophiie can add to an enquiry, managed at Settings → Workspace → Tags. The filter shows the standard tags plus any you've customised, so the list differs between businesses.
- Status — All, Unread, Archived.
- Date — All time, Today, 7 days, 30 days, or Custom. Custom needs both a start and an end date before it takes effect.
- Test Sophiie — test enquiries are hidden by default; switch this to Shown to see them.
- Sort — Newest or Oldest. On desktop it's inside the Filters popover; on mobile it's a separate Sort button.
Search looks across the enquiries themselves and the customer's name, phone and email, plus tags and channel names. The Customer filter is the precise way to pin one customer.
The Sent list (your outbound SMS and email) keeps a reduced set: search, channel (All / SMS / Email) and sort only.
Common Questions
Where did the Apply Filter button go?
There isn't one any more — every filter applies immediately when you select it.
Where are the "Hired" and "Newest" status options?
"Newest" was moved to Sort. "Hired" no longer exists in the dashboard — Status is now just All, Unread and Archived.
Why don't I see the tags from the help examples ("Urgent", "New customers")?
Tags aren't fixed product labels — the filter shows the standard tags plus any your business has customised at Settings → Workspace → Tags.
Can I assign an enquiry to a team member?
No — there's no way to assign an enquiry to a team member from Inquiries. Everyone works from the same list. If you split the work informally, the Customer, Channel and Inquiry tag filters are the way to carve it up.
Why isn't the list grouped by customer any more?
That's deliberate, not a bug — the list shows one row per enquiry rather than grouping everything under the customer. The one exception is SMS, where texts merge into a single Text conversation per customer. To see everything from one customer in one place, use the Customer filter or open their conversation.
How do I clear my filters?
Flip each active one back to All. The badge on the Filters pill tells you how many are still active.
Need More Help?
If a filter is returning results that don't make sense — for example a date range showing calls outside it — ask Sophiie Assistant in your dashboard first; she can guide you or make the change for you. Still stuck? Email support@sophiie.ai or call +61 7 5620 4640 with a screenshot of your active filters.
